Convenience
If you have ever used disposable snack bags, plastic containers or clear plastic wrap then you'll appreciate the ability to reuse your plastic bag with our thicker, non-toxic bags. The closure is hook and loop that makes it easy to open and close for children and anyone with limited mobility in their hands. Our patent pending product is unique in the waste-free lunch arena, and certainly steps ahead of the disposables.
Material
The Fresh Snack Pack™ is made of thick EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) and is made to be reusable and thus reduce lunch and snack waste. EVA is the same material that has been recently used for baby teethers and for a variety of vinyl and foam products. According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) website and the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) website - EVA is safe for storage and contact with food.
EVA is a type of plastic that does not require a plasticizer and is bisphenol-A (BPA) free and phthalate free, so it is considered to be non-toxic. And tested lead-free. A good website with information about safe plastics is The Soft Landing and this article by Alicia Voorhies called What is EVA and Why is it in My Baby's Teether? Also The Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CEHJ) recommends EVA as a safer PVC-free plastic alternative.
We have worked with SGS lab in New Jersey to do testing on our bags to make sure that the plastic is non-leaching.
Production
Our products are made ethically in China in a factory that has been independently awarded the ISO 9001 certification. They have also been approved to manufacture for Disney after a third party verification process. We are always looking for ways to produce our product domestically and should the opportunity present itself we will gladly embrace it.
Mono Polymer Construction
Mono polymer construction for easy disassembly and recycling where possible. The bags are made from two components - EVA and hook and loop material.
Packaging
We are conscientious about the packaging of our products and make it as minimal as possible. The packaging is recyclable.
Thought Process
We give a lot of thought to our products and we try to look at it from many different perspectives. We have had testers that are toddlers, teenagers, city workers , parents and grandparents. We have made this product safe, dependable and cost effective. It works as described and it will potentially save thousands of disposable plastic bags from going into the landfill. Granted, these bags will need to be thrown away (or recycled - we can hope) at some point in their life...but think of the waste that you have saved. Or we can be hopeful that we find a way to disassemble them and make them anew into something else. The beauty of recycling.

Sizes
Sandwich Size that is 8" x 6" closed and fits a whole sandwich or a large portion of fruit or snacks. Open 8" x 17 1/2" when opened flat.
Snack Size that is 6" x 4" closed and is perfect for a handful of crackers or fruit. Open 6" x 12" when opened flat.
