I don't need to tell you that we use and dispose of millions of plastic grocery bags, veggie bags, snack and sandwich bags every year. While many grocery and veggie bags can be recycled, sadly the sandwich bags and snack baggies cannot. Just take a look in your child's lunch box and count how many baggies you use and multiply that by the average school year of 180 days. That's a bunch of unnecessary waste and dangerous waste at that.
These bags and baggies clog up the landfill and create health hazards for birds, fish and animals.
A better solution is to reuse and leave less waste.
